Birchlea Lodge is well-equipped for self-catering or if you fancy a break from cooking, Kippford has 2 pubs serving good food within walking distance.

Bright & spacious Scandinavian-style log cabin near the coast. Birchlea Lodge is a perfect base in mild Dumfries & Galloway for a relaxing or an active holiday, close to the sea and near woods & forest in the popular yachting village of Kippford.  There are many lovely walks in the village itself, including the coastal path to Kippford’s shell beaches or across the grassy National Trust lands on the Jubilee Path to the sandy beach at Rockcliffe. With the proximity of the 7Stanes mountain-biking centres, beaches, several activity centres and attractive independent shopping at Castle Douglas & Kirkcudbright there is plenty to do.

Kippford has a 9-hole golf course close to Birchlea, 2 cafes and 2 pubs in the village. Mountain bike trails at Dalbeattie 7 Stanes – accessible within 1 km from Birchlea.

Note: up to 2 dogs welcome, at an additional charge
